Mallory Swanick is originally from Florida, where she received the basis of her dance training. She was a competitive dancer and trained under the artistic direction of Julio Montano and Gissell Durand before pursuing contemporary ballet outside of Florida. She recently completed the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program where she spent two years training with the contemporary ballet company in San Francisco, CA.
Throughout the years, Mallory has spent her summers dancing with BHumn Dance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet and LINES Ballet. She has had the privilege of learning from artists such as Arturo Fernandez, Shannon Gillen, Shirin Keyani-Rose, Alonzo King, Jon Ole Olstad, Desmond Richardson, Robert Sher-Machherndl, Max Stone and has performed works by Sidra Bell, Gregory Dawson, David Harvey, Maurya Kerr, and Carmen Rozestraten, amongst others.
While traveling and continuing her training, she has returned as a guest instructor and choreographer to studios in the Tampa Bay area. She has also earned her degree in Health Sciences and is currently working towards her master's degree.
Mallory involves herself in the world of dance to push herself and others to delve deeper into unknown territory, with the intention of paying inspiration forward.
