Annamarie's Highlights

After eleven years of experience as a competitive dancer, Annamarie went on to formally continue her dance training and education at Plymouth State University of New Hampshire with a focus on dance performance and physical education. During this time she trained extensively as a tap dancer under notable master teachers, which led her to becoming a performer and choreographer for New England Tap Ensemble where she was fortunate enough to display some of her work at the prestigious Jacob's Pillow. Upon completion of her Bachelor’s Degree, Annamarie was honored the "Contemporary Dance Ensemble" award for her achievements of multiple student choreographed works in the Musical Theatre & Dance department.

Although most notably known as a tap dancer, Annamarie is considered to be well trained and experienced in many dance genres. She has been a primary hip-hop/jazz dancer for theme parks including Six Flags Magic Mountain and California Great America. She has performed, choreographed, and directed for contemporary/hip-hop Los Angeles based company Collabor8 Dance Co. for sets seen at World Of Dance, Carnival LA, Urban Street Jam and Set It Off. She has also studied extensively in Cape Town, South Africa with afro-jazz dance company JazzArt Dance Theatre where she had the opportunity to dance on television for “Top Billing: Nelson Mandela” and in live theater “Azishe!”

Currently residing in Los Angeles, she is active member in the tap community and has performed with multiple professional tap companies such as, Co.mmit, Tap That, The FYV Group and Rhythmic Circus. Annamarie strongly believes in keeping the excitement of tap dancing alive and continues to be a guest instructor and choreographer at performing arts studios and universities internationally.
